    Phone service for fix lines

    Amtel provides phone service within the area of Hungarian Republic, according to the registration by the Local Office of Communications, for the calls started from fix lines. (Inspectorate of Communications registration no.: HBB-9828-8/2002.)

    Within the frame of the service, according to customer's demand, the local, domestic long-distance, domestic mobile and international directions are available from wired network.

    The service can be used with any telephone/fax unit available commercially.

    Service using

    Amphone service can be used in accordance with the following constructions.

    1. Carrier Preselection (CPS)

    In case of using CPS service Customer needs to make declaration about his CPS demand. On the basis of this declaration the access port provider is obliged to re-route the required directions automatically to the network of the chosen service provider. Following the CPS changeover Customer's subscription fees for the phone lines will be paid to the access port provider in the future too, and the turnover fees of the required directions to the chosen service provider.
    Process of CPS changeover needs a 2-3-week period as from the contracting. The cost of the changeover is covered by Amtel.
    CPS service can be used for calls to the following directions: local, domestic long-distance, domestic mobile and international.
    Automatic access of the network ensures the unchanged dialling process for the users.

    2. Phone service with green number access (dial-up service)

    The service is accessible with dialling Amtel's central setup number (free call)
    Dial-up service can be used for call to the following directions: domestic long-distance, domestic mobile and international.
    Automatic access of the network can be ensured with PBX setup or call router (dialler) installation on the phone lines.

    Qualitative policy

    As assumed in the Service Contract, Amtel provides phone services with yearly availability of 99,5%, daily 24-hour technical supervision and customer service, with PSTN quality (wired service).

    Service safety

    For Amtel's Amphone service telecommunications network is provided by Monor Telefon Társaság Rt. (MTT) and British Telecom (BT), as subcontractor.

    MTT was founded in 1993, and since then they have been making an area which was extremely underdeveloped in infrastructure, close up to the level of modern qualitative demands.
    MTT has obtained "Excellent" qualification from the Telecommunications Authority (HIF) and they suit its demands year by year. In July of 2000 MTT won a certificate from SGS Yarsley International Certification Services proving that MTT complies with requirements of ISO 9001 standard.

    British Telecom is in possession of their own network which interconnects to the rest of the European network. During the last several years BT has focused on the development of its network infastructure in order ot provide leading edbe Information Communication Technology (ICT) solutions in Hungary, Czech Republic and Slovakia.
